New Business Planning and Consultancy
Most businesses start with an idea, it is then down to hard work and plenty of research to turn that idea into reality. Adequate planning is essential if you want your business to succeed – as the adage states: fail to plan, plan to fail! After the idea comes the Business Plan (or Business Strategy). This does not have to follow a pre-determined format, but in general should contain the how, why, where, what and who of the business idea; i.e. the nuts and bolts.
This document does not have to have masses of detail, but the idea should be articulated in sufficient detail so that a person who does not know the details of your idea is should be able to read and understand what the business is about. It is very important to put together a series of projections for your business; these should include; budgeting & forecasting for costs and income, Cash Flow Projections, Break Even Analysis, and Stress Testing & Financial Modelling.
You will also want to consider how you want to structure your business; generally it will be as a Sole Trader, a Partnership or a Limited Company. We are able to take you through the pros and cons of each of these and help you to set up your ideal business structure. We can help you write your business plan and put together the necessary projections to present to the bank or other funding provider.
We can also act for you by registering your business with HMRC for tax and VAT, establishing relationships with banks, and helping you with company formation if appropriate. We can also provide Company Secretarial services. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to talk any further about a new Business idea, we do not charge for the initial consultation.
If you are looking to buy an existing business, we are able to help you with business valuation and provide expert advice with negotiations; please contact us if you would like to discuss further.
Also, if you do want to consider exit strategies at the early stage of the business cycle, we will be happy to talk about what options may be available.
