Anthony Smith & Co. Ltd was founded by Anthony in 2009 after a seven year career at a major UK High Street Bank, including three years as an internal auditor. Anthony started the practice on the kitchen table at his house in Weston super Mare. The practice grew organically, and after the first year of trading, he opened an office in central Weston super Mare. Further organic grow took place over the next four years, and the strategy subsequently evolved to one of growth by acquisition.

 

The first acquisition of a small practice in West Somerset took place in the autumn of 2015, followed by a much larger acquisition in Taunton in the spring of 2016. One of the team members in Taunton, Diana, has subsequently become the practice General Manager, assisting Anthony in the operational and strategic oversight of the business.

  

The current portfolio is approximately 500 clients, overseen by a team of client managers who each have responsibility for their own portfolio of clients.
